Social media is a bit like Marmite – you either love it or hate it! Either way, it is a really great way to let as many people as possible know about your business, without an expensive price tag.

The big problem with social media is that it can take up so much of your time, you know how it is? You log on to post something on your business page and get side tracked by cute photos, interesting news and well … life. Increasing the amount of visitors to your site from the search engines is an important part of managing your website, the traffic is free and we all love some free traffic.

However, just because you have a website it does not mean that you will automatically have visitors from the search engines.

  • You need to let the big boys like Google, Bing and Yahoo know that you are there.
  • You will want to make sure that all of the pages on your site are the best that they can be.
  • You will want to have your titles, meta data and keywords all in the right places.
  • And you will want to have some great links to your site – not lots of spammy ones.
